Establishing an Account with BGS: Credit Application
Shipping Stock items ordered by 4:00 eastern normally will ship via UPS the same day from Florida. BGS tries to maintain stock in the most common items. Drop-ship items are subject to availability and the manufacturers shipping cut-off time.
For those shipments that require faster service, we will ship UPS or Federal Express (we will try to use other specified carriers upon request). Shipping charges are based on the weight or in the case of larger boxes the dimensional shipping weight of the item. Shipping charges are prepaid and added to the customer's invoice unless quoted otherwise.
Receiving your Shipment Please inspect all boxes immediately. If a package is damaged, make a note of the damage or any missing cartons on the receipt and have the driver for the delivery company sign it and give you a copy. Please call BGS if any of these problems arise.
Warranties The manufacturer’s warranties apply and commence on the invoice date. In the event of equipment failure during the warranty period, contact Broadcasters General Store promptly so that we may assist in the replacement or repair of the defective item through a factory authorized repair center. Many of our manufacturers allow us to advance replace items that arrive defective out of the box (DOA). It is important that you notify us within 15 days of your purchase so that we can facilitate your replacement or repair. Items found to be DOA months after the purchase are generally required to be returned for repair.
Claims The copy of your shipping receipt should be faxed to us so that we can assist you in filing a claim. You must keep all cartons and equipment until the shipping company investigates the claim. Under present ICC rules and regulations, it is the responsibility of the consignee to inspect and report loss and damages promptly, and in writing. Most carriers will not accept a damage claim beyond 15 days.
BGS Returns Policy Please call BGS, fax or email return request form, before returning anything. We must issue you a Return Authorization, which allows us to credit you account quickly. We will credit your account for product value only. We do not include shipping costs, unless the error was the manufacturers or ours. The items must show no cosmetic damage or signs of wear and must be returned in the manufacturer’s original packaging. Return Authorizations will not be issued more than 30 days past the invoice date, depending on manufacturer’s restrictions. Return authorizations expire 14 days from the date issued.
Return Instructions 1. Please double box product. 2. Do not write on manufacturers packaging. 3. Insure for full value of equipment. 4. Ship via trackable carrier, require signature for delivery and email tracking to Kandice@bgs.cc.
Restocking Charges Special orders or non-inventory items may be subject to restrictions with possible manufacturer restocking fees. These fees can range from 15 to 50%.
Non-returnable Damaged items, Custom or special orders are non-returnable. Computer software will only be accepted back if unopened and the factory seal is intact.
Taxes We collect tax for Georgia, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and North Carolina. Some of our manufacturers may require us to collect tax for other states that they have nexus in and this will be added to your invoice and noted. Anyone not required to pay tax must complete and fax the appropriate state forms for our files.
