The LQ-1000™ Loudness Quality Monitor provides comprehensive ITU-R BS.1770 loudness and peak level metering of up to eight channels of 5.1-surround and/or stereo AES or SDI audio. HD/SD-SDI I/O is standard.
Created following extensive field experience with mixers and broadcasters during post-production and high-profile live events, the LQ-1000 allows the monitoring of all critical loudness parameters on its large color OLED display making it the ideal choice for studio mixing or plant-wide monitoring to ensure improved consistency and minimal operational errors.
Current loudness is clearly indicated by a large, easy-to-read number along side target loudness, Dialnorm, and peak levels (with true peak value). Loudness and peak values are also indicated on a familiar bar-graph display, while a histogram shows loudness over time. A VGA output is provided to send the full display to an external monitor.
AES outputs are provided for sending de-embedded audio to an external audio monitor. GPI functionality enables remote control of functions assigned to the four front-panel buttons and allows for tally output alarms.
Making the Best Even Better:
New Hardware, New Software
We've made significant improvements to the LQ-1000 that make it even more flexible and valuable in a variety of environments.
To start, we've made it less deep, making it even easier to install in live OB trucks and tight edit bays.
We've also added four internal metering logs - 24 hour, 48 hour, 7 day, and user-defined - each of which are date and time stamped once per second. Each log includes readings of the A, B, and C meters, dialnorm metadata or manual reference level, and Dolby® acmod metadata. A built-in http server allows manual access to the logs and provides the ability to use http commands to automate log retrieval. All logs are exported as standard CSV files for easy import into the software of your choice for analysis, archiving, or graphing.
Other improvements include displaying metadata or the manually set reference level, decimal point and 1/10th dB increments on Meter D, and TruePeak measurements. NTP time sync is now supported, as is the ability to choose between DHCP or a static IP address.
