Overview
Altus WebRTC Monitor - Buyout
With the Altus virtualized console, you are often not "local" to the console, which can present a challenge to hear the monitor speakers that we would otherwise hear if we were sitting in a more traditional studio. In this example, we're not "contributing" to the show, simply running the console. If you are a contributor and have your own source on a fader, you won't require a WebRTC monitor, as your return audio is provided as a normal backfeed.
The Altus WebRTC Monitor License allows the output streams of an Altus console to be configured as a WebRTC stream. This WebRTC output stream can be used to monitor any audio output of the console with a customer-supplied device running a WebRTC-enabled browser. The Altus audio source is encoded with an Opus codec (included). An audio connection is created between the Altus and the user's browser for monitoring during remote content creation.
Note: A Beacon server is utilized. Requires a Telos Alliance Professional Services setup of the Beacon server which would be deployed on a server provided by the customer.
