OMG CD Player Interface IR + RS-232 GPIO Adapter
The newest creation from the imaginations of Alex Hartman and Leif Claesson is a studio GPIO interface for IR, Serial, and TTL outputs for CD players or other devices.
- 3 GP INPUT ports, 3 pins each + ground. Inputs are dry contact closure. Low (sink to ground) to activate.
- 3 Infrared OUTPUTs for IR control of the device. Currently supports Tascam BT200 and Denon 1177 based devices
- 3 Serial IO/TTL output. User configurable to be EITHER Serial OR TTL. Serial is bi-directional providing status back via MQTT over wifi
- All 6 outputs are capable of functioning at the same time, 3 IR, 3 Serial/TTL, can tie to the GPI or be controlled via MQTT triggers independently
All inputs and serial outputs are opto isolated. Serial is configured by the end user via jumpers for TRS connection and RX/TX configuration.
Wifi local hotspot used for configuration. Can be configured to tie to a Wifi access point to be put onto your network via a simple text based config file.
MQTT will control outputs in parallel with the GPI ports.
If there is a device, IR or serial, not supported, simply supply us with a remote or serial configuration guide and we can add it to firmware to be updated by the end-user via wifi.

Included are the 1x4 green GPI connectors, 3 IR blasters, configuration card, and the interface itself. Serial and TTL cabling is user-supplied as the serial spec on audio devices is unique. Packaging is a heavy-mil ziploc bag for easy USPS shipping in bubble mailers.
